What should I do after installing Accesstive? (First steps checklist)
Once Accesstive is installed on your website, there are a few important steps to complete so you can start getting value from the platform right away.
1. Confirm the Installation
- Visit your site and check if the Access Assistant toolbar appears
- Open the widget and test a few features to make sure it’s active
- Log in to your Accesstive Dashboard to see if your website is listed and active
2. Run Your First Accessibility Scan
- From your dashboard, trigger a manual scan if it hasn’t started automatically
- Review any identified issues
- Accesstive will apply smart fixes where possible and show what may require manual attention

3. Set Up Monitoring
- Enable ongoing tracking in the Access Monitor
- Schedule scans (if available)
- Review compliance scores and improvement history
4. Customize the Widget
- Adjust toolbar appearance of Access Assistant (position, color, icon style)

- Apply language settings if your site is multilingual
5. Introduce the Tool to Your Users
- Add a note to your site (e.g., in your footer or accessibility statement) explaining the purpose of the Access Assistant
