What data does Accesstive collect during setup?

Accesstive is designed with a privacy-first approach. During installation and initial setup, only the essential data required to activate accessibility services is collected.

1. Website Information

  • Domain name
  • Page structure and content for accessibility scanning
  • Language and direction (LTR/RTL) to optimize the Access Assistant display

2. Accessibility Scan Results

  • Elements that may violate accessibility standards (e.g., missing alt tags, color contrast issues)
  • Automated fixes applied and remaining items needing manual review
  • Logs used only for dashboard reporting and issue tracking

3. Configuration Settings

  • Your customization preferences for the toolbar
  • Widget visibility options
  • Monitoring and scan frequency setup

What Accesstive Does Not Collect

  • It does not collect personal data of website visitors
  • No cookies are set by default unless features like Access Accy or analytics integration are explicitly activated
  • It does not access or store user accounts, passwords, or form entries
