What data does Accesstive collect during setup?
Accesstive is designed with a privacy-first approach. During installation and initial setup, only the essential data required to activate accessibility services is collected.
1. Website Information
- Domain name
- Page structure and content for accessibility scanning
- Language and direction (LTR/RTL) to optimize the Access Assistant display
2. Accessibility Scan Results
- Elements that may violate accessibility standards (e.g., missing alt tags, color contrast issues)
- Automated fixes applied and remaining items needing manual review
- Logs used only for dashboard reporting and issue tracking
3. Configuration Settings
- Your customization preferences for the toolbar
- Widget visibility options
- Monitoring and scan frequency setup
What Accesstive Does Not Collect
- It does not collect personal data of website visitors
- No cookies are set by default unless features like Access Accy or analytics integration are explicitly activated
- It does not access or store user accounts, passwords, or form entries
